The Okadora Dryer has broken completely new ground with its ‘Boil & Dry’ system. Traditionally, this surplus sludge was processed as fermented fertilizer through adjustment of the moisture content. However, this process typically requires 2-4 months for complete aging. The process works by completely breaking down the cell structure and adjusting moisture content by 50%. Using the Okadora process, the dried product is reduced by 1/3 in volume and fermented to full maturity in only 6~8 days. When it comes to preservation of the dried product, the traditional product (with 10% moisture content from the normal direct heating dryer), returns to the pre-dried sludge condition when it is immersed in water. On the contrary, the dried product from the Okadora system remains as it is. It does not change condition, thereby allowing for the optimum application of fertilizer.
